RINASCITA ODYSSEY POMANDER
RINASCITA ODYSSEY POMANDER
The "Rinascita Odyssey” pendant is an exquisite piece, handcrafted by renowned artisan William Llewellyn Griffiths. Griffiths drew inspiration from a visit to the V&A Museum, where he was captivated by an array of ornate pomanders. Pomanders were perforated pendants worn in past centuries to carry pleasant smelling herbs and perfumes, kept as protection against petstilence and unpleasant odors. Griffiths conceived a modern-day pomander that is diguised as a Renaissance sailing ship.
Place a scented flower bud inside the perforated hull of the ship which will release it's delicate fragrance when worn. Delicately dangling from the bottom of the ship is a blue Topaz briolette.
This piece is created from mixed metals, with sails crafted of 18k white gold, the deck and masts are forged from 18k yellow gold. The hull, sculpted from platinum, features a lattice design adorned with 378 shimmering diamonds.
Suspended by two delicate chains from a golden helm, the ship floats. At the heart of the ship's helm lies a intricately engraved Onyx compass, guiding your way.
