APSE OF SAINTE-CHAPELLE RING
Conjuring the rich blue, purple, and gold hues of the famed stained glass windows in the Apse of Sainte-Chapelle France, this enchanting ring is a truly marvellous one of a kind piece.
Exquisitely handcrafted in 9ct yellow gold this stunning ring features a gorgeous natural purple Bolivian ametrine set inverted and resplendent atop a signature William Llewellyn Griffiths cathedral setting and split shank. The setting like a vaulted ceiling, serves to draw in the maximum amount of light, allowing it to pass through the stone and portray it's true vibrancy. The round cut 10.5 carat centre stone measuring 14.34mm in diameter and 10mm high, is flanked by the complementary shade of blue topaz. These two striking round bullet cut blue topaz are each 4.5mm diameter by 7mm high and are held by intricate trèfle or clover shaped claws. As if not decadent enough ring shank itself features a beautiful yellow rose cut sapphire set into the bottom which is 4.5mm in diameter.
This sumptuous ring is definitely a statement piece. Weighing 12.6 grams it sits comfortably on the hand and has a gorgeous weight to it.
The ring fits Australian & British size U 1/2 (US size 10 1/2). Ring size can be adjusted within reason.
All pieces are made with love in William Llewellyn Griffiths' Melbourne studio.
