This majestic creation, and the bold contrast of 18ct yellow gold, blood red garnet with the inky black and midnight blue enamel is a testament to the skills and panache of William Llewellyn Griffiths. Enamel work and the complex and time consuming techniques used to create these effects are just as opulent and impressive as they were in the renaissance.
At its heart, a crimson garnet, a jewel of deepest red, cradled in a crown of timeless grace, akin to the fierce passion that marked Mary's life. The ornate and delicate scrollwork adorns it’s side like sceptres of regal dignity.
