In Ancient Rome, Venus was long associated with both emeralds and pearls having risen from the ocean emerging on an oyster. Inspired by the sheer opulence and intricacy of grand gilded antique mirrors, these earrings take their name from the Renaissance painting ‘Venus with a Mirror’ by Titian. Magnificently ornate, these earrings would surely captivate the gaze of the goddess herself.

Meticulously handcrafted in 18ct yellow gold, each earring is delicately formed with a cornucopia of fine flourishes of scrollwork, floral garlands, and shells. The studs themselves feature two gorgeous 6mm x 5mm octagon emeralds (combined carat weight of 1.65cts) beneath golden shells cradling two 2mm round creamy white pearls.  within their golden frames at the heart of each earring lies two mesmerising 15mm x 9mm pear shaped Zambian emeralds. With a combined carat weight of 12.045cts, Each pear cut emerald is flanked by two sparkling white round brilliant cut diamonds, four in total and each 1.9mm in diameter. A feast for the eyes, two 7mm x 5.5mm pearls complete the drop in a statement magnifique!

Measuring 62mm in length from the top of the shell to the bottom of the pearls, each earring is 19mm in width at it's widest point and weighs 10.22 grams (total weight 20.44 grams).

All pieces are made with love in William Llewellyn Griffiths' Melbourne studio. Upon request these earrings come with an accredited valuation.
